~Winnebago Wise Saying 1069 East Meadow Circle | Gladdening the Ancestors: Two exciting events with Caitlin Mathews, a world celebrated - teacher of Western Spirituality and Celtic folklore, author of over thirty books. sponsored by the Center for the Divine Feminine at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology on Friday evening, June 2 at 7:30 PM and at Stillheart Retreat Center on Saturday and Sunday, June 3 & 4, 2006 The Western Way Beneath the well-mapped landscape of Western Spirituality, runs a traditional esoteric pathway which has acknowledged the ancestral lore and hermetic knowledge of the West. This perennial wisdom has woven its bright and beckoning thread through the religion, folklore and magic, ever reminding us of our connection with the earth mysteries of our ancestors and the mysticism of the Gnostic traditions. Sophia, Goddess of Wisdom, Bride of God Reclaiming the Divine Feminine from exile in the West, Caitlin explores her many ancient forms worldwide to prefigure a realistic Goddess theology for Westerners. Initiation into the mysteries of all our ancestors: Caitlin Mathews's Friday evening speaking engagement at ITP will give an in depth overview of the intensive work participants will experience during the weekend workshop. It will include a shamanic meditation which will act as an introduction to the weekend. It is not necessary to attend the weekend workshop to benefit from this evenings talk. Our Ancestral Bequest/Setting up a 4 cross-quarter shrine to our paternal and maternal forebears: Caitlin Mathew's weekend retreat begins at 10:00 AM at Stillheart Retreat Center and focuses on the Shamanic work of perceiving and honoring both male and female ancestors in all we do.
