Monthly Symbolism Study Group

This group is offered at an introductory level and is designed for those interested in deepening their understanding of the language of symbolism.

Overview

This group will improve your ability to work with symbols commonly occurring in dreams, art, or sand tray scenes. The language of symbols is the oldest language we speak and comes from the deepest layers of our psyche. Most of us have lost the ability to translate symbols and images into meaning and we have come to rely most heavily on our verbal language.

We will explore one symbol in depth each month

We will experience many representations of the symbol

We will examine our personal associations to the symbol

We will review the collective or universal meanings of the symbol

We will consider related fairytales or myths containing the symbol

We will provide written materials

When: Third Friday of the Month 10:00-12:30 noon
Nov. 18, Jan 20, Feb 17, March 17

Each month stands alone and you may attend any one and/or all

Cost $25.00/monthly group meeting (includes cost of processing CEUs)
